There were plenty threads of new players asking about double vanguard throughout the years in the playdota forums. The responses are pretty much always the same: Only bad players get double vanguard, regardless of hero.
I created the post because I find it amusing how some narratives changed over the years, especially around builds. Like radiance+linken weaver back in the day, instead of getting desolator+crits, being some kind noob move by old school dota players.
