I feel like there is so much pressure on offlane and often people blame the offlane player when the game goes bad.
Other roles are much more chill and don't have a huge disadvantage from the start.
From my experience, the main issue is pos 4 role. Pos 4 seems like a role with the least amount of responsibility, so it is often picked by the least skilled players. Most people basically play it as a chill role, picking farm heavy, low utility, heroes, not warding/dewarding, not harassing, chilling with low hp behind pos 3, then leaving at level 3 to leave pos 3 vs 2 lvl 3.
It actually makes a huge difference when you get a decent pos 4, which is rare.
